From "Clean Formula" to "Natural Selection”
During the research and development of clean formulas, the range of available ingredients is extremely limited. RED CHAMBER has also eliminated over 2800+ risky and controversial ingredients such as talcum powder, alcohol, fragrance, and cyclopentasiloxane according to the Chinese Cosmetics Safety Technical Specification (2015 Edition) and the EU EC (2020) Cosmetic Prohibited Substance List. It then selected less than 600 clean ingredients from over 10,000 permitted cosmetic ingredients, established an exclusive database to ensure that all product ingredients meet the EWG's high safety green level standards, without allergenic ingredients, pore-clogging ingredients, or ingredients suitable for pregnant women. The R&D of clean beauty products is like dancing with shackles. To make progress, we need to continuously experiment in extremely limited raw materials and ingredients.
Long Time-consuming, but Fearless
Due to the limitations of available materials and the specificity of the skin feel and efficacy of existing natural materials, the time and cost spent on researching and developing high-natural ratio products are several times that of ordinary products. During the R&D process, we need to test the characteristics of each natural source ingredient, determine different ratios based on their characteristics, and the effects that different ratios can achieve.

At the same time, it is necessary to test the compatibility, formula stability, and compatibility of different plant extracts and different proportions, which requires a huge investment of time and cost. Definition of Natural Origin
In natural and organic cosmetics, "natural" does not refer to the natural smell, color, or taste. Based on the establishment of clean ingredients, RED CHAMBER obtains raw materials from plants, microorganisms, and minerals, excluding animal-derived ingredients. The natural ratio is calculated based on natural raw materials and derivatives that meet the standards defined in this standard.
Natural Origin Ingredients
Natural origin ingredients refer to cosmetic ingredients obtained through specified chemical or biological methods for chemical modification, which require that over 50% by molecular weight of the molecule is derived from natural sources. Strict limitations are placed on modification methods, reaction processes, and solvents that can be used. The solvent used for the extraction of a certain natural ingredient extract also needs to be natural or derived from all natural sources.
Natural Extraction Process
RED CHAMBER adopts natural cold pressing and non-chemical solvent extraction methods, which do not alter the structure of the plant itself and effectively extract, resulting in purer extraction and more environmentally friendly processes, reducing carbon footprint during production.

The publication of "ISO16128-1/2 Natural and Organic Cosmetic Ingredients and Product Technical Definitions and Standards" established the basic definitions, principles, and calculation methods of natural and organic standards, marking a milestone in the global unification of natural and organic cosmetic standards.
